Training Overview

The role of a "Surveyor/topographer Skilled Technician" is to identify, develop and manage the land and property ownership, whether is it individual or collective, and estimate the value if necessary. He also establishes plans, maps and defines the nature and dimensions of existing structures or thoses to built.

After the training, the laureate will be able to achieve the following operations and activities:
Work with the instruments and current topographic devices
  • Use the methods of topographic drawing
  • Size the sanitation networks of a building
  • Calculate flow rates of wastewater and storm water
  • Select working methods to create the basic earthmoving, and determine the project dimensions, calculations and drawings
  • Use the various survey methods used in photogrammetry and cartography
  • Use the angles and distances measurements
  • Measure the longitudinal and transversal profiles, needed to implantation, calculations and drawings
  • Establish a project drawing based on experience with projects carried out in the past
Age Restriction: 30 years old for Baccalaureate and Bachelor holders
School level required: Diploma or Baccalaureate in Science TechniquePhysical aptitudes:   
  • Good visual sense, auditory, olfactory and tactile   
  • Excellent manual skills   
  • Good physical condition   
  • No vertigoTraining selection methods:   
  • Preselection   
  • interview after preselection.
  • The training program duration is 2048 hours and is spread over 2 years, including a technical internship of 1 month and a half at the end of the course.

    The training is residential and assessments are carried out as follows:
    • Continuous Controls;
    • Culminating examinations;
    • passing examinations;
    • End of training examination.
    After a few years of experience and after demonstrating his skills, the Technician will be entrusted with greater responsibilities in terms of autonomy and management of the technical problems related to his interventions.
